About Me

Hey!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog! My name is Shelby Lynn Gibson and I am 20 years old.  I graduated from high school in May of 2018, received my AA degree from South Florida State College May of 2019, and now I am in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at Polk State College in Lakeland to become a registered Ultrasound Technologist. I am also in a relationship with my absolute best friend Cody Cumbee (i've been loving him for 4 years!!!), and we are kind of Disney World fanatics. While I may not be 100% sure about what my future holds, I do know that I want to spend it learning more and growing deeper in my relationship with Jesus Christ!

For a little background information, I was born on April 4th, 2000 and right off the bat I was a sinner, I cried to get my way, I threw tantrums and I was on the receiving end of quite a few spankings (and rightfully so!). Even if I didn't know it at the time, I was not just breaking rules my parents set but I was also sinning against my Heavenly Father who is perfect in every way, and for that I deserved eternal separation from the One for whom I was created to be close to. But in the midst of all of that bad news, I learned the Good News of the Gospel that, "[f]or God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Jesus, God's son, took the wrath of God and died in our place, was buried, and three days later rose from the dead so that we could, if we chose to accept this WONDERFUL AMAZING PERFECT & FREE gift, live in eternity with God instead of being separated from Him. Now because of that Good News, I choose to live each day getting to know my God and sharing what I find with you! I hope you will choose to stick around and learn with me!

Love in Christ,

  1. Shelby, We don`t have the words to tell you how much we love you. Just want to say that we are so proud of you and how you are keeping God so real in your life. You will never regret anything that you do for Him. Take care and keep up the good work. Your Mamaw/Papaw
